How to measure for a closed bangle

A closed bangle needs to slide over your hand, so measure your hand rather than your wrist.

1. Bring your fingers together and fold your thumb across your palm towards your little finger, as though you’re putting on a bangle.

2. Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the widest part of your folded hand, including the thumb knuckle, as shown in the photo.

3. Keep the tape snug without squeezing your hand or leaving a loose gap. Record the circumference in inches.

4. Repeat three times to check your measurement, then compare it with the circumference listed in the chart below.

If you use string or a strip of paper, choose something that doesn’t stretch. Mark where the ends meet, then lay it flat against a ruler and measure in inches.

Already have a closed bangle that fits comfortably?

Measure straight across its inside opening in inches, from inner edge to inner edge, excluding the metal. Multiply this measurement by 3.14 to find its inside circumference.

For example: 2¼ inches × 3.14 = approximately 7.07 inches around.

Extra Small – 6 3/8" circumference, 2" diameter
